Product Review: Loc Butter by Carol's Daughter, Yirssi – Guest Blogger

I absolutely LOVE this product. I've realized that for me, when it comes to most products, I either love or hate them. This is definitely one of the ones I will continue to buy over and over.

The description on it reads "water-free styling aid for Locs, Palm Rolls and Twists" and as with every Carol's Daughter product that I know of, the ingredients are extremely healthy. It is paraben-free, and has petroleum, mineral oil, or artificial coloring. What is DOES have is Soybean Oil, Cocoa Butter, and Shea Butter, amongst other things.

It doesn't have a very particular smell, which is good because it won't overpower any other scent you are trying to put on your body (which I've had happen with other hair products).
Now, I need to note, this product is VERY greasy. It's good for my hair, because my hair is extremely thirsty, but if your hair is not very dry you may dislike the greasiness of it. As you can see, I've almost used all of it, so it's about time I buy another one. If you decide to buy it for yourself, and end up not liking it, then it's very good to moisturize your hair after a shower, or at night, or before styling. I believe there are tons of products for curlies like us out there that are a complete waste of money, but I don't think this one falls into that category, because even if it doesn't work one way, you can find another way of making it work for you.
