Spike Lee’s “She’s Gotta Have It” hit the screen in 1986 with a bang. He gave the industry something new, something fresh, and even better, something with some brown faces. You can be sure that every Spike Lee Joint pushes the envelope. Check out this article from The Root, one of my favorite publications. The lead character, Miss Nola Darling is rocking a fro au natural! I can definitely appreciate the look more now than I did 25 years ago.
