Naturals in Hollywood

I have always been a fan of Jada Pinkett’s before the hyphenated Smith was added to her name.  It is only “natural” that I continue to be an admirer of her talent and her beauty.  Her latest project, Hawthorne is one that I anticipate watching every Tuesday.  The writing is great, as are the actors.  The youngest case member, Hannah Hodson, caught my eye initially because of her natural hair.  However, this season, her character was given more depth and a meaty story line, showing that she is more than just another naturalista.

She got her start in a Nike Air Jordan commercial directed by Spike Lee. Later she was cast in Lee's short film "Jesus Children of America," which premiered at the Venice Film Festival in 2005. She also starred in the TNT film special The Ron Clark Story as Shameika, for which she won a Young Artist's Award in 2007. She currently plays Camille Hawthorne daughter of Jada Pinkett-Smith's character Christina in the 2009 TNT drama "HawthoRNe".  Source:  facebook
