What’s Eating You?, Weekly Health Tips from Angela

We hear constant talk regarding the need to eat healthy and the benefits of “going organic”. We are fully aware of all the pros that this provides in our lives as well as the cons that may occur if we do not follow directions. So what’s eating me?
The price of it all! In this economy, how can we buy gas we need to go to work daily, clothes to protect our children AND organic food for healthy lives?

So after doing a little research, I found a really neat site online for busy moms that just may assist with this problem: Eating healthy on a budget. Below are some cool tips that Lisa shares:
v  Buy non-organic and clean foods very well with pesticide washes. Equal parts of water and white vinegar will do the trick.
v  Eat seasonally! Stock up on these fruits so that they can be preserved/frozen when not in season
v  Eat less meat.  We eat more meat than needed, so when we buy higher quality meats in less amounts, it will balance out the pocketbook
Eating healthy does not have to be that constant nagging pain that seems to never go away. We just need to make smarter choices to prevent breaking the bank.
